Locator holes purposefully cut into the burner offer the perfect fit for setting Rasmussen Vent-Free FireBalls (sold separately) securely in place and creating a fuller appearance. ANSI Certified for safety, this vent-free burner system comes equipped with a built-in oxygen depletion sensor and safety control valve that will continuously monitor the room's oxygen levels. Should the sensor's calibrated pilot detect less than ideal oxygen levels in the air, the thermocouple will shut down the valve's flow of gas to the burner. The Alterna comes standard with a manual control valve, however, optional remote control upgrades are also available to suit your needs.
