The 14x14" square deckmount plate is made from aluminum and is intended to be bolted into a solid surface. The ground insert base is zinc-plated and is intended to be poured into concrete for permanent installation. Alternatively, give your guests shade when and where they need it with a movable umbrella by upgrade to a freestanding offset base which sports an aluminum construction and is designed to be used in combination with 24x24" square concrete pavers (sold separately).
